What is the workshop schedule?

The program will be available one month prior to the workshop’s date you can download it from the website, we will also send a preliminary version to the participants by e-mail.

How do I get to the venue?

The event is held at Dauphine University in Paris. Please visit the the “General info.” tab to get information about how to reach the University.

Are the presented papers subject to any academic publication?

Participants in the “13th Workshop on Pensions, Insurance and Savings” are offered the opportunity to submit the presented papers to a special issue of The Journal of the Economics of Ageing or the Academic Journal Bankers Markets and Investors. The publication process is similar to  scientific journals with referee review.

How do I apply for the workshop?

You should submit a complete version of your paper  to <international.pension.workshop@gmail.com> with “Submission” in the subject line by March 30, 2015.

Researchers interested in discussing a paper are strongly encouraged to inform us by end of March at the latest.

What should I bring?

If you are using slides for your presentation, please ensure that you deliver them with a memory stick to the front of the room during the break preceding your session to allow this to be set-up for you.

With the workshop cover my travel expenses?

Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

What is the structure of the workshop?

The Workshop is going to be a 2 day event with parallel sessions and Keynote presentation, the last session is dedicated to a policy session. For more details visit the program under its tab.

When do we need to arrive?

Participants are encouraged to stay for the full two days of the workshop

Should we pay any inscription fees?

Participation in the workshop is free of charges. If you do not wish to present a paper you can freely assist the workshop, just remember to inform us by sending an email to <international.pension.workshop@gmail.com>

When will I know whether my paper is accepted?

Final decisions about the selected papers are made in April. The authors of selected papers are informed by mid April.

I haven't yet obtained a PhD in economics. Will you still consider my application?

We encourage the young economists to present their works, the quality of the presented papers is our main concern.

I have two papers. May I apply submit more than one paper?

You can improve your chances by applying 2 or more papers. Although most of the time we only chose one paper for each speaker, our main criteria for selection is the quality of papers and you may end up presenting both of your papers.

How is accommodation handled?

Participants should reserve their accommodation, you can find some information about the closest hotels to the university in the “General info.” tab.
